Ever since humans have gained free will, that power came with the realization: we are not alone on this Earth. As long as we are able to hunt for food, there is still room in the system for something to hunt or haunt for us.
This project is a collection of work dealing with liminality, uncanny valley, and horror. I drew inspiration from analogue horror, folklore, and empty spaces that evoke a feeling of nostalgia or uncertainty. I was drawn to working on a series like this as I have always been intrigued by unsettling images. I wanted to create off putting images that are also unique. I took the time to understand and learn more about why we get scared. There is a want to explore the things that scare us.
